The objective
Evaluate whether a new address book design met user needs and test the usability of a multi-format API lookup during address creation.
The approach
Recruited target users directly from an internal SUS survey pool to execute 3 core address book tasks. Evaluated real-time user behavior to map out address management expectations.
The design decision
Translated these findings into high-fidelity wireframes and mockups, successfully introducing a dedicated address book architecture to cross-functional stakeholders.
What the research showed
Bulk upload
Users explicitly requested a bulk address upload feature for efficiency.
Store, rarely edit
Low modification frequency meant users prioritized long-term storage over constant editing.
A page of its own
A strong need emerged for a standalone Address Book Management page for data cleanup and visual reference.
